Principal mechanical engineer with 27 years’ experience (25 optics-related).  Expert in design for manufacturability with extensive experience in feasibility, prototype, pre-production, and production transfer of low/mid volume instruments and devices.  Favors a team approach to design, collaborating with experts in marketing, optics, electronics, software, and operations to develop integrated products for niche markets.  Holds a BSE, Mechanical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan and two utility patents.

Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) focused on applying sustainability and ergonomics to create efficient designs and manufacturing methods to make a safer, better, and cleaner world.  

Several years of professional experience as a Mechanical Designer in various industries and his B.S. degree majoring in Industrial and Human Factors Design at Pennsylvania College Technology have prepared him to design marketable products and systems. His interdisciplinary, international study of design integrates aesthetics, design methodologies, ergonomics, kinesiology, anthropometry, material science, engineering, manufacturing, business, and the social sciences. His creative potential, coupled with techniques and technology, transforms ideas into practical designs. As an Industrial and Human Factors Designer, he can also create optimized and customized products.

Engineer in Training (EIT) focused on mechanical engineering, with an extended knowledge base of electromechanical systems. Experienced with integrating mechanical, electrical, and software to achieve optimal system performance. Able to perform all necessary aspects of design, simulation, manufacturing, and testing of custom made devices. Alumnus of USF-Tampa (B.S. in Health Sciences) and UNC-Charlotte (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Graduate Cert. in Applied Energy and Electromechanical Systems). Professional engineer license to be obtained when minimum experience requirement is satisfied.
